Traits
Crystal Casing (🗝️ VESTIGE)
A mutation in which a specific item (within reason) has been incased within one or more of an Arkaine's crystals.
Crystal Casing usually happens in an Arkaine's horns, but also can happen in other larger-areas of crystal.
These items are specific and unique to an Arkaine - meaning if a player chooses a 'dandelion' to be their Crystal Casing item, they will be the only Arkaine allowed to use that item in their crystal casing.
Crystal Casing interiors will always be unique to each Arkaine, meaning there will never be any duplicates.
Crystal Casing Taken-Item List:
- Dandelion
- Frosted Winter Rose
Overgrowth (⏳ LEGENDARY)
A mutation in which the crystals grow rapidly and plentiful. This condition is usually painful.
Unihorn (⏳ LEGENDARY)
A crystal mutation where an Arkaine only has one horn.
Dragon's Vein (🪐 ULTRA)
A mutation in which the crystals have a vein-like look throughout them.
Crystal Color Mutation (✨ RARE)
A mutation in which the crystal color is not a solid color or a gradient of two different colors.
Abnormal Lifethorn (🪐 ULTRA)
A mutation in which the Lifethorn is not the standard Arkaine shape.
Abnormal Mindstone (🪐 ULTRA)
A mutation in which the Mindstone is not the standard Arkaine shape.
Stunted Horns (BREED BASE TRAIT)
The Samora breed has always been known to have stunted, shorter horns than the other breeds of Arkaine, which are unable to grow past a medium length - or more than 5-6". It's suspected this happened over many years of evolution.
Bioluminescent Crystals (BREED BASE TRAIT)
Crystals constantly glow with a bioluminescent glow, usually the same color as the crystals or a lighter tone of the same color.
Bioluminescent crystals are exclusive to the Samora breed.
The lifethorn pulse color is always a different color than a Samora's bioluminescent crystal glow.
Glacial Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)
Glacial fur is thickly double-coated. Both the undercoat and the outer coat is plush, soft, and thick - making Glacial fur quite heavy.
(Earth Example: Siberian Husky)
Standard Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)
Standard fur is plush and medium-length all over the body.
(Earth Example: German Shepherd)
Royal Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)
Royal fur is smooth, silky, and generally shorter on the body.
The breed also offers optional feathering at the tail, ears, and sometimes cheeks. Feathering can be straight or wavy.
(Earth Example: Golden Retriever)
Pointe Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)
Pointe fur is smooth, velvet-like, and very short all over.
(Earth Example: Doberman)
Samora Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)
Samora fur is plush, and very thick. Their double coat helps them keep warm in their underground cave.
The Mane of thicker fur often grows upwards along the spine, and long, thick feathering called a Crest or "Cresting" can grow along the arms and legs of a Samora. Cheeks are often also crested, as is the base and insides of the ears.
The fur of the Mane and Cresting always goes against the grain of fur, pushing it upwards to give a more prominent look.
