The Samora breed has always been known to have stunted, shorter horns than the other breeds of Arkaine, which are unable to grow past a medium length - or more than 5-6". It's suspected this happened over many years of evolution. 

Bioluminescent Crystals (BREED BASE TRAIT)

Crystals constantly glow with a bioluminescent glow, usually the same color as the crystals or a lighter tone of the same color.

Bioluminescent crystals are exclusive to the Samora breed
The lifethorn pulse color is always a different color than a Samora's bioluminescent crystal glow.

Long, plush, thick feathering called a Crest or "Cresting" can grow along the arms and legs of a Samora.
Cheeks are often also crested, as is the base and insides of the ears.

The fur of the Mane and Cresting always goes against the grain of fur, pushing it upwards to give a more prominent look.

Royal fur is smooth, silky, and generally shorter on the body.
The breed also offers optional feathering at the tail, ears, and sometimes cheeks. Feathering can be straight or wavy.

Pointe fur is smooth, velvet-like, and very short all over.

Samora Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)

Samora fur is plush, and very thick. Their double coat helps them keep warm in their underground cave.

Koami Fur (BREED BASE TRAIT)

Koami fur is thickly double-coated, very dense, and plush. Fur is wavy or curly, but not woolly. 
The undercoat is thick and soft, and the outer coat is longer, with plush hairs.

The breed also offers optional feathering anywhere on the body, but it's most common at the tail, ears, and cheeks.
Koami is the only breed that can have extra feathering anywhere on the body.
Feathering can be wavy or curly (but not woolly).

Samora Eyes - "Mirror Eyes" (BREED BASE TRAIT)

Samora eyes are naturally accustomed and evolved to be able to see incredibly well in the dark; however, this gives them a disadvantage in sunlight. Because of this, the Samora's pupils are always a lighter color than the iris, usually a grey or white, and highly reflective

Samoras call their vision type "Darkvision", and the aversion to the sun "Sunblindness". 
Sunblindness effects all Samora, and they must wear protective eye-gear when in direct & indirect sunlight.

Koami ears are naturally Buttoned, meaning they are flopped forward, small-to-medium sized, and triangular-shaped.

Natural Glacial breed Arkaine ears are an erect triangular shape, but are stubbier than most other breeds.
They are plush-furred, like the rest of the body.

Koami Tail "Waterfall" (BREED BASE TRAIT)

Koami "Waterfall" tails at their base are usually rather short to medium-length in bone structure
These tails get their namesake because they are wavy or curly in feathering, and usually sport extremely long, silky hair.

These "waterfalls" often reach past the knees, and sometimes even drag along the ground behind an Arkaine.
